Eric Freeberg's classic illustration style is influenced by artists of the Golden Age of American Illustration, including N.C. Wyeth. Howard Pyle, and Maxfield Parrish. He studied painting at the New York Academy of Art, and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
Among the nearly 20 books Eric has illustrated for children are "Grimms Fairy Tales," "Greek Myths," "The Odyssey," "Journey to the Center of the Earth," and "Moby Dick" for Sterling Publishing. For Compass Publishing, titles include "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer," "White Fang," and most recently"The Spelling Bee," among others. In addition to books, Eric has contributed art to children's magazines. "Nelly's Sweet Song," a short story about George Washington's granddaughter, will be in the November/December issue of Spider Magazine this fall. Eric has also illustrated "Samuel Peppard and his Windwagon" for Spider magazine. Eric has exhibited at the Society of Illustrators in New York. He is a PAL member of SCBWI and is represented by Wendy Lynn & Co.
